After 20 wonderful years as a classroom teacher—including 15 years dedicated entirely to the magical world of 1st grade—I am bringing my passion for early literacy directly to your screen. I know exactly how children learn to read, where they get stuck, and how to build the confidence they need to become lifelong readers.

I chose to step out of the traditional classroom to create a space where the student and their families comes first. Where kids can learn at their their own pace and get the one to one support they need to feel confident and successful.  As a mom to two energetic young boys whom I plan to homeschool, I deeply understand the beautiful, messy balance of family life. This personal shift inspired the name of my business, Family First Tutoring.
